Is Your Drinking Water Safe? Check Your Pipes!

It’s no secret that water (and lots of it) is necessary for a healthy lifestyle. But what kind of water? As a result of increased negative publicity regarding various drinking water contaminants, people today are more aware and concerned about the quality of the water they drink.

Your Water Pipe Bursts! What To Do.

If a water pipe were to break in the house, a homeowner should know where the main water shut-off is located so they can terminate the water at that point. Normally this is located outside the home in the front or rear where there is a hose bib connection. If a homeowner cannot find it because it is not exposed and accessible, we suggest calling the local water department (you find that phone number on the water bill statement)..
Don't Let Clogged Drains Ruin Your Party

There’s never a good time to have a clogged drain, but some times are worse than others. For example, when your kitchen sink decides to back up during the middle of a dinner party, or when your toilet clogs and overflows while you’re hosting house guests.

Using an adjustable wrench you can remove the bolts that hold the toilet seat in place. If the bolts are metal and have corroded, try soaking with penetrating oil overnight. If the bolts will not budge, just saw off with a hacksaw. Coat the new bolts with some petroleum jelly to help in future removal!
